Anthropology/Archaeology Students
Anthropology/Archaeology students at Mercyhurst College are provided with basic training in the broad field of anthropology as well as specialized training in Archaeology, Physical Anthropology, and Forensic Anthropology. Students can take a hands-on approach to a wide variety of research opportunities in diverse topical, chronological, and environmental settings. Students attain a solid foundation within the field and further their education when choosing one of two concentrations: Archaeology or Bioarchaeology.
Students can join the Anthropology Club and discuss the field amongst themselves and through learning and service activities. Visiting lectures, field trips, and fundraising events seek to enhance the educational experience of the club’s members.
Alumni of our program are currently placed in Masters and PhD programs in Anthropology or Archaeology, and are working as archaeologists across the country.
