Forensic Recovery Van

The Applied Forensic Sciences Department has its own 11 passenger 2007 Chevrolet Express van used to transport faculty, students and equipment out to outdoor crime scene recoveries, and professional meetings in other cities. The van is equipped with its own external power source for charging equipment while on the road, and has plenty of room for students and equipment. Besides going to recoveries, the van is often the primary mode of transportation for the annual meetings of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, American Association of Physical Anthropology, the North East Forensic Anthropology Association, and the Canadian Association of Physical Anthropology when they are within reasonable driving distances. Class field trips to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. and museums in Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio are taken via the departmental van.
