MAI's Forensic Anthropology Division provides two primary
services: (1) the application of professional archaeological data
recovery techniques in searches for, as well as the excavation
and interpretation of, unlocated crime scenes and buried human
remains, and (2) the identification, analysis, and preservation
of human skeletal remains.
Staff and students in the Forensic Anthropology
Division provide specialized services to law enforcement, medicolegal,
and jurisprudence agencies in investigations throughout the United
